Ustrasana – Camel Pose, How To Do The Ustrasana And Its Benefits & Precautions

This asana, known as Camel Pose, It’s an intermediate stage. The ustra is called a camel in Sanskrit, and this pose is similar to a camel. It is known to open up the heart chakra and increase strength and flexibility. This asana is also commonly known as Ushtrasana.

Steps To Do Ustrasana

  • Start the asana by kneeling on the mat with your hands on your hips.
  • You need to make sure that your knees and shoulders are level and the soles of your feet are facing the ceiling.
  • Inhale and pull your tailbone toward the pubic bone. You should feel the pull on your belly button.
  • When you do this, you arch your back. Place your palms gently on your feet and straighten your arms.
  • Keep your neck in a neutral position. It shouldn’t be tense.
  • Maintain the position for about 30 to 60 seconds before releasing the pose.
