The Wind Relieving Pose is a Reclined posture suitable for everyone, whether they are beginners or Progressive practitioners. This pose helps to release digestive gas from the intestines and stomach easily. This is also known as the one leg knee-to-chest pose.

How To Do The Pawanmuktasana

  • Lie on your back with your feet together and place your hands on the sides of your thighs.
  • Just relax in this position.
  • Inhale and rub your legs, inhale and bring both legs to your chest and squeeze your thighs around your stomach with your hands folded.
  • Inhale again, and as you exhale, lift your head and chest off the floor, touch your left knee with your chin.
  • Hold it there as you inhale and exhale deeply and for a long time.
  • Try to keep this pose as long as possible.
  • Inhale and raise your feet just above your knees as if you were exhaling. Bring your feet back to the floor and rest in a lying position.
  • Perform the same procedure with the other right leg.
