Prana Mudra – Mudra of Life

Prana Mudra, as the name suggests, Improve the “Prana” or energy of life in the body. It is usually done in Padmasana to enhance its healing benefits. Another name for this mudra is “Kapha Karak Mudra” or “Pitta-Nashak Mudra”. This is because mudras can balance doshas in the body by lowering pitta and increasing kapha.

Steps To Do Prana Mudra

  • This yoga mudra should be performed in a comfortable position (in sukhasana) with the main focus on the breathing system.
  • Let the tips of your little finger and ring finger touch the tip of your thumb and keep the other fingers straight.
  • Keep your hands and palms facing upwards.
  • Experts recommend practicing this mudra for 15 to 45 minutes. You need to do this regularly to know the benefits.
